Need to Meet New People? Do These Two Things

Smart financial planning is a great move. No doubt I feel that way (otherwise I would not be in this business). However, sometimes the solution to your goals in life is making more money (or making your money differently).

Just Don't Call it Networking

If your goals require you to change jobs or fields, you might want to get good at talking to people. Why? Because being a good conversationalist means you learn more from other people. You build networks where you could expand your career potential. It means you grow as a person. And all of these could help you do better financially. But just don't call it networking. Networking sounds and is a selfish way to call it. Meeting people should be a positive, giving and sharing experience.

Whether you need a better paying job, a new career or a more flexible career, take the steps necessary to get there and getting there means getting out there and playing in people traffic.

Here's a video outlining two simple steps to start making this happen. Good luck! (One rule: Just' don't use the weather as a conversation topic ok?)

I'd like to help you do better in 2018. One way to do better is to be better and make better connections. how do you do that? Go to events that you'd enjoy going to anyway and learn how to ask good questions. That's it! How does this idea jibe with you?
